Clark College will celebrate Pride Month on June 4

Join us for various activities on Clark College's main campus. Look for events specific to employees, students, and community members.

PPI Training: Safe Zone

Participants will understand the intricacies if the LGBPTQIA2S+ community, review definitions and vocabulary, and discuss heterosexual/cisgender privilege. Participants will also learn how to put these concepts into practice at Clark College.

Note: This Power, Privilege and Inequity (PPI) training is eligible for Clark College's antiracist training program.

Gender-Affirming Clothing Swap

Join the Queer Agenda for our second annual clothing swap. If you have gently-used, clean clothing you are no longer wearing, bring them and pick up some new ones. If you don’t have clothes to bring, that is fine – you are more than welcome to bring yourself and take some new clothes with you!

Note: If you would like to drop off clothes before the event, please bring them to Diversity Center in Gaiser 220.

Queer Student Luncheon

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Multicultural Student Affairs invites you to our spring quarter Queer Student Luncheon! This quarter’s luncheon will feature 2 student speakers who will share their own stories and lived experiences. Lunch will be provided, and this event is open to all.

"The Outcast" An Afternoon of Trek

Join the Teaching and Learning Center for an afternoon of Trek, teaching, and togetherness. Spend quality time with colleagues as we watch an episode of Star Trek each term. Star Trek has been used by educators from diverse fields to engage students in concepts, apply skills, and kick off classroom activities or assignments. After viewing the episode, there will be time for brainstorming, conversation, and potential lesson-planning. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided by the TLC, including popcorn!

We will watch the 1992 episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, "The Outcast." This episode features themes related to ethics, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, conversion "therapy," legal practices, logic and argumentation, conformity, and more.

White Anti-Racism Education ERG*

As Clark College kicks off Pride Month, our ERG meeting will center on the Intersectionality of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and Queer/Allied Communities. Feel free to bring snacks to share.
