Spring Native Plant Sale, April 24th – April 26th

Spring has sprung and the pollinators are out and about and looking for flowers. The Clark College Native Plant Center is having its spring sale on April 24th and 25th from 12pm – 6pm and April 26th from 10am – 2pm, so come on over and see what we have in store to support our local pollinators. And for the plant lover in your life, these flowers and shrubs make a lasting and special gift. All plants are grown out by Clark College students so when you support the sale you are supporting both education and pollinators. We take cash, check and cards. See you at the sale!

Presidential Scholarship Announcement

WSUV Presidents' Scholarship in honor of Val Ogden for the 2025-26 academic year. This scholarship provides full resident tuition for a student transferring to WSU Vancouver starting in fall 2025. The award recognizes a student with leadership potential, community orientation, and an excellent GPA. It is renewable for an additional year, provided the criteria are met.

The application deadline is Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM (midnight). The winner will be announced during Commencement on June 18, 2025. Complete the Presidents' Scholarship application online.

Spring Intramurals Schedule

Clark College intramurals was created to engage the college community in a diverse range of recreational opportunities from traditional sports to outdoor games and activities. Spring 2025 Intramurals will run from Week 2 of the quarter to Week 10. Events will be held Monday and Friday in OSC 128.

Virtual Running Start Information Nights
This optional information session is for students and their supporters who want to know more about beginning the Running Start program in the 2025-2026 school year. You’ll learn about eligibility, cost, enrollment steps, placement options, tips for academic planning, transferring after Running Start, and Clark student life and student support resources. During the webinar, attendees will be able to ask any questions they may have about Running Start, and we will also hear from a current Clark College student about their experience!   What is Running Start? The Running Start program allows high school juniors and seniors to earn college credits while completing their high school education—saving students money while advancing their education. Students are able to attend college, at minimal cost, while still living at home as a high school student. Student Pathways to a Global, Inclusive World

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is excited to provide a new online Canvas course all degree-seeking students will be enrolled in entitled, "Student Pathways to a Global, Inclusive World" starting Spring Term 2025. The course is self-paced and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. It consists of 8 modules covering topics and information relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism and was developed to meet a Washington State law that requires community and technical colleges to provide a program on diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism to all degree-seeking students beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.

Students will be required to complete this training by the end of Spring Term, June 20, 2025. There will be no tuition or fees associated with this course.

You are allowed to opt-out of taking the Canvas course if you self-attest to taking a diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism training at an institution of higher education within the previous five years. Instructions on how to opt-out will be included at the beginning of the Canvas course.

Need to Use a Microwave?

Students need to eat. Sometimes you need a microwave. Here are some locations of microwaves throughout the main campus: Basic Needs Hub (GHL 216), Frost Arts Center, Clark Bookstore, & in the Hanna Hall Study Lounge. Quick note: Basic Needs Hub is the only location listed that has utensils and napkins. Please be mindful that other students use this machine, too. Please clean up after you make a mess. Be a resourceful and responsible student.

Bagels for Breakfast at CTC, April 21st, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in CTC Nest

The Activities Programming Board is hosting Bagels for Breakfast in the NEST at the Clark Columbia Tech Center. There will be free bagels from Seize the Bagel and free coffee and hot cocoa from Pacific Perks! We will have over 8 bagel flavors and cream cheese. Learn more about your unique personality type preferences and discover career possibilities. The Strong Interest Inventory career assessment, and the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator are assessments available to currently enrolled students. They include a detailed report that helps to identify interest areas, career pathways, and personality style strengths & preferences. These assessments are tools to help individuals learn about career options, understand themselves better and relationships with others. Sign-up to complete the assessment(s) and pick an interpretation session date. During the session, you'll receive your report(s) and learn strategies to support with your career or personal development.

Did you know that your local WorkSource offers a variety of free workshops (virtual and in person) to support jobseekers and career changers? Some example workshops offered are: Creating the Right Resume, Coping with Stress During the Job Search, Resolving Conflict at Work, How to Get Past the Applicant Tracking System, and more! Registration is required for virtual workshops.

Tutoring In Person or Online – Visit Today!

Get to know your resources and visit us early! Join Tutoring Services Monday through Thursday 9am to 5pm or Fridays 9am to 2pm in various campus locations! Great place to work on that homework, meet your study groups, AND get support if you need it!

Not on campus? No problem! You can connect with any of our scheduled tutors via Zoom during their scheduled times as long as they are not already assisting another student.

Remember, tutoring is a free resource to you and an extremely beneficial study practice!

You May be Eligible for Support through Workforce Education Services

Workforce Education Services (WES) administers a variety of programs that are designed to support students who are seeking certificates and degree programs with an employment goal, as well as students enrolled in Transitional Studies programs. Eligibility, including eligible degree types, vary and are dependent on individual program requirements. Students may receive assistance with tuition, fees and books as well as help in accessing other supports to include public benefits by completing the Workforce Education Services Application.

You may be eligible for support through Workforce Education Services if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Considered low income
  • Receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • Receiving federal food benefits (SNAP/EBT)
  • Receiving unemployment benefits
  • Exhausted unemployment benefits within the past 48 months
  • A military veteran discharged within the past 48 months or have an upcoming separation date
  • A displaced Homemaker (loss of primary income due to becoming widowed, separated, divorced, or lost income due to loss of a spouse's job or incarceration of a spouse) within the past 48 months
  • A Former Foster Youth and under 22 years old
  • An Unaccompanied Homeless Youth and under 22 years old
