5 Bedroom Home just across the bridge in Piedmont Portland

Quiet, LGBTQ+ BIPOC friendly house near Peninsula Park in historic Piedmont, Portland. Perfect for quiet students needing a place to stay during the school year.

The house is a classic Portland style 2 story home with 5 bedrooms and 2 baths on two floors and a finished basement. The Main Floor central living spaces has high ceilings for additional light and spacious feel. There are windows on every external wall creating abundant natural light throughout the day.

Students can choose to rent more than one room if they prefer to have a bathroom to themselves. Rental fees are per bedroom. If more than one room is requested monthly fee may be negotiated.

Rooms are between $700 per month per student including utilities (for the double), and from $900 per month per student with utilities for the singles and $1,100 per month per student for the single with office attached. To apply for the Double you must apply with your potential roomate as we do not do roomate matching for shared rooms.

2 single Bedrooms are located on the main floor and 2 singles and one double are located on the upstairs floor. Each bedroom is different and all are furnished with a bed, desk, and storage and/or good sized closets.

1) The front Main floor bedroom sits on the Northwest side of the house and features blackout curtains, a Winthrop style desk, bookshelf, small couch and queen sized bed, as well as a large walk-in closet with some shelving.

2) The back Main floor bedroom offers an extra room behind it that is large enough for a small office and has windows on two sides for ample daylight lighting. The room features under bed storage as well as a good sized closet, a dresser, and bedside table. The office features a desk with three seating options, and bookshelf. The office has a locked door connecting to the pantry porch which must be kept locked at all times. This room can be used as an office or more storage.

3) The largest of the bedrooms is upstairs and sits on the south side of the house and features a queen size futon bed, desk with comfortable office chair, side table, small bookshelf, large 16 cube IKEA storage unit with some storage baskets, a ceiling fan, and a small hanging closet with curtain rod and a few options for curtains if desired.

4) The double is upstairs and features two loft beds with desks under each and a bookshelf, as well as a small sofa. The shared room has access to both the upstairs bathroom and a very large walk in closet due to the lack of space for storage inside the room. This is the only room that may have more than one resident. Roomates must apply for the double together as we do not do matching for shared rooms.

5) The North facing bedroom features its own private walk-in closet, and loft bed with a fun feature !! airplane seats !! to relax, work on homework or watch a movie on the big screen. This spacious room has lots of table/desk options to use! This room is connected to the upstairs bathroom.

The bathrooms feature new plumbing, counters, fixtures and beautiful travertine and Pratt & Larsen tile. The downstairs bathroom has both shower and tub with a waterfall style shower head, a sink and toilet. The upstairs bath features two sinks and vanities with plenty of storage underneath, a toilet, and a soaking tub. The upstairs bathroom is only accessible through the two bedrooms attached.

There is ample space to commune with housemates in the dining, living, and kitchen spaces or to dine solo. The kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking utensils, pans, and even some cookbooks, and features new cabinets, tile flooring, and a new dishwasher, stove and microwave.

The front yard is landscaped and planted with food that is available for harvest and for easier maintenance and better sustainability for the planet. There are also grape vines that after 7 years have begun to offer bountiful small grapes in late Fall. The front yard is currently planted with herbs (sage, thyme, and mint), squash, tomatoes, eggplant, and some flowering plants to encourage pollination of fruits and vegetables. The backyard is not part of the contracted space and is off limits for now, as it has not yet been developed. It may not be used except to exit with the bike stored in the back pantry. The Owner has provided one bike that can be shared for transportation but it must be taken good care of by visitors. A tire pump is available.

The front hall has beautiful French doors to both the closet (on the left) and the Living Room (on the right). The French doors bring additional light into the space and help to reduce electric bills and create a living space conducive to studying and living. The front hall has ample closet space for coats and shoes. The residence is shoe free so residents and guests must remove shoes on the covered front porch or in the front hall. Floors must be wiped if dirt or mud is tracked in.

There is an extra room upstairs to enjoy quiet space or a movie with other roommates.

This is community so be sure you are open to respectful, quiet, substance and bias free living before you apply. There is no smoking of anything on the property or by residents. This is 100% smoke and vape free home due to health concerns. Applicants may not have in their possession nor the on Property any illegal, mind altering, addictive, or smoking substances in any form while on property. That includes but is not limited to cigarettes, vaping, marijuana or any products with THC (whether illegal or legal), any hallucinogenic substances whether natural or manufactured, pain or other prescription pills taken but not subscribed to the Applicant by a licensed certified medical practitioner, or any other mind altering substances not prescribed by a licensed certified medical practitioner for that specific Applicant.

No bias of marginalized communities will be tolerated. No minors are permitted on the property.
